Building A Blogging Empire

I was thinking today that with the popularity of blogs and ease with which a person can make money with them, the average person got actually build a blogging empire. If you create say six blogs at the same time, each with a different subject matter, maybe one that’s a general blog where you blog about anything, you have done the first step to creating your blogging empire.

Next you monetized those blogs with text ads from Google Adsense or Bidvertise, with affiliate ads from Amazon and Clickbank that fit each blogs niche, if you have a product or service put those on your blogs also. Now you have ways to start making money on your blogs that you don’t have to do much or any work with.

Now you start writing good quality post and marketing those blogs to build a readership. You can post your blog links on forums, chat rooms, discussion sites like MyLot and any other place you can think of. Join social networks like MySpace and FaceBook, make friends and send them to your blogs. Thousands of people everyday are reading blogs for entertainment, news, information, slice of life stuff and whatever. You can market stuff to these people with your niche blogs while building up your readership.

Now here is want I think is the part that will net you your living. After all of your hard work making your blogs popular and getting a high PR on Google, Alexa and Technorati, now your blogs are old enough to join paid to review sites like PayPerPost, ReviewMe, Blogvertise and others. You will be able to do high paying reviews and ask advertisers for higher pay per review. You can literally make hundreds of dollars a day.

I wish I had thought of this months ago when I started blogging, but I was so green back then. However, I am going to start putting this theory to the test. I truly believe that blogging, if done right will not only allow you to make a living, but I think you can become rich doing it. It’s really all in the marketing. And that says it all.

More Money Making Online

I want to take my discussion about making money online a little further and talk about as it applies to everyone not just how I’m going about it. Unless you are running a business online, I think the best way to make money online is to diversify. You should use as many ways to make money as you can. Do it by joining affiliate programs like Amazon.com or Clickbank, join opportunities that pay you to read e-mails, click ads, take surveys, or try offers. You make money blogging, writing articles or reviews for advertisers, putting text ads on your website or blog with companies like Google Adsense, AdBrite, Bidvertise, RevenuePilot and others.

When using paid to click ads and paid to read e-mail sites, I think it’s a waste of time if they pay less than one cent per click or e-mail. I know one cent isn’t a lot, but you don’t want to have to do two, three, four or even more clicks just to even get to the one cent.

Another thing I don’t think is a good idea do when trying to make money online is to pay to join an opportunity. A lot of these are scams or just aren’t right for most people. Sure there are some these programs that a handful of people will make money from, but it takes a certain kind of person to do it. Most of us aren’t that type of person. There are loads of opportunities out there that you don’t have to pay to join. In fact there are some that will even pay you to join.

I will admit that you won’t make a mountain of money from paid to click ads or paid to read e-mail sites. But by joining several of them and getting some active referrals you can make some pretty good extra cash. Now couple that with other ways of making money online and you are on your way to telling your 9 to 5 good-bye.

I haven’t even mentioned selling stuff at online auctions like Ebay or at webmalls, Amazon or even your own website.

All in all diversification is the way to go if you want to make money online. Just pick the ways that are best for you and go for it. And that says it all.

The Power Of Referrals

Before I begin with the topic of this post, I want to take a little time to give a huge thanks to Deborah Petersen over at Life in the Fast Lane for a great review about me and my art. I'm also honored that she would take the time to do it. You can read the post HERE.
Thank you so much Deborah.

Okay, joining free money making opportunities is a great way to earn some extra. As I mentioned yesterday most are easy things to do like getting paid to read emails, or clicking on ads, or even signing up for offers. Some of these opportunities even pay you to sign with them. But an even better way to make money from these opportunities is to get people to signup under you for them. These people will be your referrals and you make money from their activities. The reason I say this is better, is because you don’t have to work for this money.

I didn’t realize how valuable referrals can be until I checked Media Dollarz, an opportunity that I’m in, but had not done anything with for awhile and found that I had money awaiting me from referrals I didn’t even know I had. My referrals for Hits4Pay helped me to make my cash out amount a lot quicker than I would have without them.

How do you go about getting referrals? Well, can post your referral links on forums or places people can find your referral links on places like MyLot that actually pay to post discussions. You can create blogs or websites designed specifically to get referrals. You can pay as little as one cent per person to visit opportunities with your referral link at sites like Clix Sense, StormClix, WordLinx and others.

Over at my blog Mike’s Money Rants & Raves I’m purposing a referral trade. I will be your referral for one or more of your opportunities in trade for you being a referral for one or more of mine. Go to This Post for more information.

Referrals can make you a lot more money from an opportunity then you can make just doing that opportunity alone and nothing beats having other people helping you to make money. And that says it all.

Money Making Online

That’s how I what to make my living, making money online. There are several ways I’m trying to do just that. One way is blogging. There are a few ways to make money with your blogs. You put text ads on them with Google Adsense, Bidvertiser, Revenue Pilot, CrispAds and others. You can write reviews for advertiser from sites like PayPerPost, Blogvertise, Review Me, Smorty and others. If you have several blogs you can do the same reviews for each one and be paid several times for one review. You can also sell products and services from your blog. Another way I use blogs to make money is by getting referrals for money-making opportunities I’m in.

Another way I make money online is sell my art on auction sites Like Ebay and ArtByUs. Because of this I have my artwork all over the world. Something I don’t think I could have done otherwise. I’ve quite a few commissions through auctions too. I also sell my art at my website and my art blog. See the links in my sidebar.

I also make money online with paid to read email, paid to try offers, paid to write articles and paid to click ads sites. These aren’t things that you can make big money from, but put together and with some referrals you can make some good extra money or help pay a bill or two. I only join opportunities that are free to join or that pay you to join.

That’s the ways I’m making money online. You can use these same ways to make money online too. If you have some other ways you’re make money online that are free, I would like to hear them.

I’m going to try another way to make money online. Starting with this blog I will be asking for donations to help out an online entrepreneur, me. I saw on another blog concerning asking for donations that it doesn’t hurt to ask and if you don’t ask you definitely won’t get it. So if you're feeling generous look over in my sidebar for the donation button and make a donation. Any amount will be gratefully appreciated. And that says it all.

Excuse Me, I Have Gas, NOT!!!

This was supposed to be part of my pissed off week last week, but the Paris Hilton thing happened and I just had to write about that. Anyway I’m still pissed off about this so here it is.

A few weeks ago I saw on the news that the oil companies were reporting record profits. You get this? The oil companies were bragging about the huge amount of profits they made and this is when gas prices were going in double digits almost every other day. The nerve of these people to tell me how fat their pockets are getting when I have to look at how much gas I have in my tank before I can make a decision to go anywhere.

As I write this gas prices have come down some, but hell it’s still about three dollars and I know that in places like California gas prices are a lot higher, but here in Ohio three dollars is a big jump from what we’re use to.

My question is, can’t the government do something about this? Can’t they put a freeze on gas prices or force the oil companies to drop the prices to a reasonable price. Dam’n we’re over there in Iraq helping those people out. Can’t we siphon of some of that gas to help drop gas prices over here?

Something needs to be done and soon. Hybrid cars, alternative forms of fuel, something that will let the oil companies know that they can’t keep holding us by the throat. With gas prices going up it will also cause prices of other things we need to go up in order to compensate. Things food, clothing, snacks (okay we don’t really need snacks. Or do we). Things may even get to the point of the movie “Soylent Green”, where a jar of strawberries cost a million dollars and the only thing we can afford to eat is each other.

In March there was a gas out where nobody was supposed to buy gas for a whole day to see if that would help drop the gas prices. It didn’t work. I’m pissed that oil companies can keep raising gas prices and brag about their big profits and the government doesn’t seem to be or can’t do anything about it and we can’t either. That says it all.

Paris Hilton Jail Update

I just want to make a quick update to yesterdays post on Paris Hilton getting out of jail. I have to applaud the judge in this case. He was not swayed by Paris's celebrity, money or even her out cry in court. He sent her back to jail and now she has to serve her original 45 day sentence. Kudos to this judge and may other celebrities take a lesson from this. Just because you're famous doesn't mean you will aways get special treatment.

Now lets see what happens to the sheriff to freed her.

Paris Hilton Out of Jail! What???

I was going to do a post today about the raising gas prices which I am pissed off about. But then Paris Hilton was freed from jail and that really pissed me off.

Paris Hilton had some medical condition, which they are saying is a rash on her body. Because they couldn’t get treat the condition, the sheriff decided to release Paris and put her under house arrest. So after serving 3 full days (technically 5) of a 23 day jail sentence, which by the way was shortened from 45 days, Paris gets to go home. Since she was allowed to go home, Paris and her attorney agreed to allow her sentence of the original 45 days. But it’s not all good for Paris. She does have to wear an ankle bracelet that may not go with any of her outfits.

Give me a break! Could I have gotten out of jail if I was in there for the same reason as Paris, if I had the same medical condition? No!!! If they couldn’t treat the condition in the correctional facility, I would have been taken to a hospital or some other health facility for treatment. I wouldn’t have been sent home.

There are plenty of people right now in jail that have medical illnesses, some with serious illnesses, they are given treatment in or out of the facility, but they can’t go home with a bracelet on their ankle. The only difference between them and Paris is that they’re not famous.

The one person I respect most in this whole mess is the judge that sentenced Paris. He in essence said I don’t care about your celebrity, your fame or fortune. To me you’re just like everyone else and I’m going to treat you as such. The judge has ordered Paris back in court today to decide if she should go back to jail or not. I believe whatever he decides will be fair.

I really can’t blame Paris in this situation. I would do anything I could to get out of jail myself. It’s the idiot sheriff who fell into the trap that’s at blame. Maybe he wanted to his 15 minutes of fame. After all his name is known by a lot more people now, but I won’t publish it here. And that says it all.

Don’t Get Me Started On Car Insurance

I realize that car insurance is necessary part of life. We need it to help us along incase we’re in an accident and have damage to our automobile or we damage someone else’s automobile or worse damage someone else. But does it have to be such a big rip off? I think all insurance is a big rip off, but I want to talk about car insurance because it’s the one I actually have.

To begin with, let’s talk about the premiums we pay. I don’t mind paying the premium (Well, I do, but I know you have to pay for the service), but I feel if you pay the premium for let’s say two years and you don’t have an accident or use the insurance at all, let what you’ve already paid rollover until you an accident and have to us the insurance, then you pay the premium for another two years. The way it is now if you never have to use your insurance then you have just given the insurance company your money. I don’t have money I can just give away. Do you have money you can just away? If I’m going to give my money away I’ll give it to a charity that will help people not some greedy corporation. And to top it off, if you do have an accident and have to use your insurance, they’ll raise your premium. They are punishing you for using a service that you have been paying them to use. Do you understand that? You are being penalized for making them do the job that you have paid them to do.

Here is another aspect of car insurance that pisses me off. Lets say you do have an accident and maybe you are hurt. The insurance company will try their best to pay you as little as possible. If you have on-going condition that will call for multiple hospital visits, the insurance company will try to give you one lump payment that my cover a few visit knowing that you’ll need more.

Okay, yes, everybody should have car insurance you never know when you will have an accident. I had an accident last year and thank God I had insurance (I’ve been without it before). However I thank the policies that govern car insurance or any insurance should be changed to be fairer to the consumer. I realize that insurance companies need to make a profit, but come on stop giving use the big screw. And that says it all.

Social Security? Isn’t That My Money

Why am I pissed about social security? It’s there to help us in our old age, right? It’s our government’s way of saying “hey we’re going to look out for you in this time when you need some help”.

Bullshit! It’s our government’s way of saying we’re to stupid to think ahead so we’re going to do it for you. Never mind the fact that the government is making interest on our hard earned money that we ourselves could be making interest on. Never mind the fact that it’s our money that is supposed to be kept for us, but we can't get it when we want it.

Once again we’re being treated like kids who need our parents (the government) to protect us from ourselves as if we don’t know the consequence of our actions. I know I will need money to live on when I’m at an age when I can’t work. But I can have more money in a savings account drawing interest and more money for investments if it weren’t going into social security.

The government is making money off our social security that we could be making and we won’t see a dime of that extra money that we worked for. No we will get only what we put in if that. It’s been said that there might not be any social security by the time I’m eligible for it. That pisses me off because the money that the government has been taking from me to assure that I will be okay in my retirement years is being squander around by my protectors when I could have done that myself and enjoyed it.

Also social security is a ponzi or pyramid scheme that takes from the people who pay into it now to pay the retirees that are using it now. With people living longer and the changes in our society there aren't enough younger workers to adequately pay the benefits of the retirees.

Let’s also look at the fact that if you do get the chance to get social security, the government gives you each month, the amount of YOUR money that they think you should be able to live on for that month. Something like an allowance. For a lot of people this is an unrealistic amount to expect a person to live on.

The bottom line is, it’s my money, I didn’t volunteer to put it into social security. I would like to of had it to enjoy and invest myself. I’m an adult who can make his on decisions and I willing to suffer my own consequences. So I don’t want the government to decide when I need my money. It’s my money so let me get it when I what it. And that says it all.

Click It or Ticket

Over the Memorial Day holiday here in Ohio the state was running ads for people to fasten their seatbelts with the slogan, “Click It or Ticket”. Meaning fasten your seatbelt or you’ll get a ticket.

This seatbelt law really pisses me off because as an adult I know that there might be a danger of serious injury or even death if I’m in an accident and I’m not wearing my seatbelt. But as an adult I should have the right to make the decision rather to wear my seatbelt or not. It’s not like I would hurt someone else if I’m in an accident and I’m not wearing my seatbelt.

I can understand if you have a child in the car and they’re not wearing a seatbelt and you get a ticket. That child is your responsibility and doesn’t have the maturity to know they could be hurt in an accident without wearing their seatbelt. Maybe the adult should even have their seatbelt on too if a child is in the car. Not only as an example for the child, but to protect themselves in order to be there for the child. But an adult alone or with other adults should be able to make their own decision.

The other thing is that seatbelts can also be dangerous if worn in an accident. Sometimes trapping you in your car in deadly situations or even injuring you themselves.

The thing is, I don’t want the government or the law punishing me for a decision that I make as an adult that’s not going to hurt anyone but me. And I don’t want to hear no cute as slogan about it either. I’m a grown ass man. And that says it all.

Sex Sells

This is the first of this week’s posts of things that piss me off. I’m going to start it off with a very controversial subject, prostitution.

Although I don’t see anything wrong with it, I must say that I have never paid for sex (out right that is, but I have wined and dined women in order to, lets say, spend some quality time with them) and I have no plans to in the near future. However, if I ever wanted or needed to buy sex, it would be my business and not the governments.

Prostitution is a deal made between two consenting adults. If a man or a woman wants to spend their money on having sexual pleasure with someone that is willing to give it, they should be allowed to. After all it’s their money and they’re not forcing the other person to have sex with them. For some people this may be the only way they can get sex. Why should they be deprived of one of, if not the most pleasurable feeling a person can have? I mean look at this, even though it’s illegal, people will risk going to jail to buy sex. That should tell you how strong that urge is.

Let’s look at a world without prostitution for a second. I see a huge up rise in rapes. I know they say that rape is a matter of control, but you take away a person avenue of getting sexual release and it becomes more than just wanting control over another person, it becomes a way of getting that most satisfying of feelings. You think I’m wrong. Well, just look at our prison system. When deprived of a way of having sex with the opposite sex, prison inmates will have sex with the same sex, by force if necessary. Don’t you think if inmates could pay, say a carton of cigarettes to have sex with the opposite sex, they would? I think that shows how important having a venue for sexual satisfaction is and how necessary prostitution is.

Okay, what am I pissed off about? Because the law is telling us that as consenting adults we can’t enter into a deal to have sex. The law says that even though you work hard for your money, you can’t spend it on the most pleasurable thing a person can experience. Oh, you can spend it on other pleasures, like movies, amusement parks or cruises, but not the one thing that everyone worldwide enjoys the most.

Nevada is the only state that has the sense to see that prostitution is a necessary business and should be legalized. The other 49 states should open their eyes and realize it too. And that says it all!
