Here’s proof that you can sell anything on eBay. Two sisters from Virginia sold an Illinois-shaped corn flake on eBay Friday night for $1,350.
The first time the sisters started the corn flake auction it was cancelled for being in violation of eBay’s food policy. The sister re-listed the auction, this time for a coupon redeemable for the corn flake.
The winner of the auction, Monty Kerr, owns TriviaMania.com a trivia Web site. Kerr said he is starting a collection of pop culture and Americana items and that the corn flake would be fantastic. Kerr had bought a corn flake before that was billed as the largest in the world, but by the time it was delivered it had crumbled into three pieces. Kerr plans to have someone pick up the Illinois corn flake.
So if you have some strange item or something shaped like a state or a person, I suggest you try to sell it on eBay, it might be a win fall. And that says it all.

Crazy News Monday; Record Collection Sells For $3M On eBay
Yesterday I did a post called The Good And Bad Of eBay. I told about the constant rising of fees and the monopoly eBay has over the online auction market. I also said that you can make some good money on eBay.
Well, here’s a story that proves that point. A 68-year-old man, one Paul Mawhinney, sold his record collection for over 3 million dollars. Mawhinney had 1 million albums, 1.5 million singles and 300,000 CDs in his collection. The winning bidder has already paid $300,000, and his bank confirmed that the man has enough money to pay for the collection.
So if you’re wondering if you can make money on eBay? Just ask Paul Mawhinney. And that says it all.

The Good And Bad Of eBay
One thing for sure eBay is the king of online auction. There are many online auction sites out there, but to really make money doing this sort of thing, eBay is the place to do it.. I made close to $300 dollars last week on eBay myself.
However with great power come great chances to abuse that power. Take Google, the dictator of the Internet who invented page rank and the rules that come along with it and then they break those rules if you do something they don’t like. Well, eBay knowing that they are the top of the heap when it comes to online auctions keep raising their fees whenever they feel like it.
Their latest fee raise came in the guise of helping sellers out. They lowered the insertion fees and even made gallery pics free, but they picked those fees up and more on the final cost fees. They totally killed sellers selling cars and other big ticket by raising their fees on both ends.
Like I said if you’re going to sell items at auction sites eBay holds the reins and you can make money there. But I still think the constant raising of fees is an abuse of power. And that says it all.

More Money Making Online
I want to take my discussion about making money online a little further and talk about as it applies to everyone not just how I’m going about it. Unless you are running a business online, I think the best way to make money online is to diversify. You should use as many ways to make money as you can. Do it by joining affiliate programs like Amazon.com or Clickbank, join opportunities that pay you to read e-mails, click ads, take surveys, or try offers. You make money blogging, writing articles or reviews for advertisers, putting text ads on your website or blog with companies like Google Adsense, AdBrite, Bidvertise, RevenuePilot and others.
When using paid to click ads and paid to read e-mail sites, I think it’s a waste of time if they pay less than one cent per click or e-mail. I know one cent isn’t a lot, but you don’t want to have to do two, three, four or even more clicks just to even get to the one cent.
Another thing I don’t think is a good idea do when trying to make money online is to pay to join an opportunity. A lot of these are scams or just aren’t right for most people. Sure there are some these programs that a handful of people will make money from, but it takes a certain kind of person to do it. Most of us aren’t that type of person. There are loads of opportunities out there that you don’t have to pay to join. In fact there are some that will even pay you to join.
I will admit that you won’t make a mountain of money from paid to click ads or paid to read e-mail sites. But by joining several of them and getting some active referrals you can make some pretty good extra cash. Now couple that with other ways of making money online and you are on your way to telling your 9 to 5 good-bye.
I haven’t even mentioned selling stuff at online auctions like Ebay or at webmalls, Amazon or even your own website.
All in all diversification is the way to go if you want to make money online. Just pick the ways that are best for you and go for it. And that says it all.
