Crazy News Monday; 35 Cent Gas Brings Crowd

With the price of gas these days I’m sure if you could get gas at 35 cents a gallon you would wait as long as it takes to get that gas. In Wilmington people did just that. A BP station accidentally set the pump price at 35 cents a gallon, premium gas at that and the crowd came a running (or driving in this case).

Apparently the price of the gas was supposed to be $3.35 a gallon, but customers paid the cheaper price and never said a word about the mistake. Employees got suspicious of all the extra traffic, which led them to discover the mistake around 6 p.m.

Was it right for people to take advantage of this mistake and not say anything? No, but gas companies are taking advantage of consumers by raising price as they see fit because we need gas. Would I have done the same thing as the customers of that Wilmington BP station? You’re damn right I would. And that says it all.
